Kawasaki
Factory Hands-On School 2010
A few members of our service team recently attended a Kawasaki Engine school in Texas. This is what our service manager had to say about it.
"The Kawasaki Factory Hands-On school was helpful for me on many levels. First, I was able to better understand how the Kawasaki engine functions by disassembling each system one at a time. Once the engine was totally disassembled, we were able to determine why a part failed and what to look for based on the symptoms that the customer would describe to us. It became more clear to me why some of the engines failed by looking at what kind of damage was done to the internal parts. After the failure was determined, we were able to have a clear and accurate explanation of the problem to discuss with the customer. We were then instructed on the proper techniques to reassemble the engine using the recommended replacement parts. Included, were tips on how to avoid mistakes during reassembly that would lead to other possible mechanical failures and overall quality service practices. After finishing the reassembly process, I feel like I have a better understanding of the common Kawasaki engine failures and how to avoid them. This will transition into helping our customers here at Sumner Lawn 'N Saw get the most out of their Kawasaki engines and how to maintain them."
